CCATE is a community center in Norristown where Latinx families learn, create and lead — after-school and high school programs, adult classes, art, research and media, all designed with the community since 2011.

On October 10, families, artists, neighbors and partners filled 1246 W. Main Street to celebrate our quinceañera: dinner cooked by our families and local businesses, music by Nuevo Reyes, and fifteen years of community art on new gallery walls.
Much of the art is still on view in the gallery — and still for sale.

For every $1 you give, $2.17 goes to work in Norristown.
In 2025, 100 teachers — Norristown parents and teens alongside students and faculty from Penn, Villanova, Temple, Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and St. Joseph — gave 18,560 hours at CCATE, worth $641,726: more than every grant we received combined.

- Mon–Thu, 4–7 pm
- After-School Program, grades 2–12 — homework with college mentors, then classes in art, music, science, cooking, gardening and sports.
- Fridays
- High School Program — mentoring, college prep, podcast and film classes.

- Adult classes — English and writing circles, photography, fitness, bicycle group, Las Artivistas.
- Summer
- Three-week day camp in July and the High School Leadership Institute.
