The CCATE filmmaking class has become a tradition for several generations of students. This semester the class is working on a documentary about DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) based on students’ decision to speak on behalf of their families, bothers and sisters, and to show solidarity and support. Through the filmmaking class, CCATE cultivates critical thinking and understanding of current social and political issues such as immigration policy in the US.
