She graduated with a Bachelors in Science for Public Health from Temple University in 2012 and began her professional career as a Community Educator at the American Red Cross in May of 2012. In September of 2016, Tessi started studying at Drexel University and will be graduating in May of 2018 with her Masters in Public Health.

Through her outreach efforts to educate the Hispanic community, in particular youth, she found CCATE, where she began visiting once a month, educating students on disaster preparedness, fire safety, nutrition, basic first aid, and home alone safety. In the following year, she started a Red Cross Club. Since then, she has become increasingly involved with the CCATE, facilitating the Girl’s Empowerment Group established for middle school girls so that they can have a safe space where we can share our thoughts, fears, and accomplishments with each other. Tessi also coaches the CCATE girls’ soccer team, which is currently going into its third year. She enjoys working with the students as well as with the parents and other adult members of the CCATE community.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][/cs_content]
