Florence Li is a trainer, speaker, home missionary and community advocate. Born in Hong Kong, Li has lived in the United States since 1976. She was married to the late Higinio Maldonado. They have one daughter. In 1980, Rev. Li received a B.A. in Social Work from Ottawa University, and continued on to earn her Masters of Social Work Administration at Hunter College. Additionally, in 1985, she received her M.Div. from the American Baptist Seminary of the West where she was named the Alumni of the Year in 2013. She is a member of the National Association of Social Work (NASW) that tied in with Pennsylvania chapter since 2011. Rev. Li was ordained in October 1987 at the First Baptist Church of America, Providence, R.I. and served as a pastor in a multi-cultural church in Queens, New York.

Rev. Li has a vision to serve God and communities with diverse cultures and traditions. She works with Asian and Asian American churches that represent eighteen different languages and dialects. Her passion to serve Myanmar (Burma) refugee immigrants who previously lived in India, Malaysia and Thailand has made tremendous impact on church and community. She directed numerous after school programs and secured funding from city, state, federal and fund-raising events. She guided community leaders and clients for advocacy rallies both in the City Hall and in the State capital. Rev. Li brings to CCATE a multicultural perspective and expertise in development to a nonprofit organization as well as important connections to clergy and faith organizations.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][/cs_content]
